Continued withh progress

I will have flooring estimate this week.

I ordered a DVI extension so I can test the extension on the monitor. Ext is 3 feet, so I guess it won't mess with quality of pic too much.

Worked on the office

I ran the wires. I need to do the finish work inside (electrical plates) and painting is up for next weekend.

I need to start looking at speakers. I need to buy a short dvi extension and test it out on one of my monitors.

My before, after and intended design



My quest for the perfect home office



I have started my quest for the perfect home office

Objectives:

Cool looking, functional, stylish - no wires, neat - the office that everybody wants!

Things that I already posses: Cool computer - Mac pro with dual 23 cinema displays, an office that is of suitable size, a design background, enough moolah to do a nice bang up job.

Where I started: a total unorganized college dorm type mess.

I started a week ago. I did some quick layouts. I did some searches in forums and flicker. I have some great ideas, but I am still confused. I have already started spending money. I realize that the process will be slow. But anything worth doing is worth doing right. I am patient.

I have my design. I started planning. I started cleaning. I need to clean some more. I hacked up the old desk and hauled it to the street. I am waiting for my wall mounted desk. I am thinking it will be available in 2-3 weeks. I am also waiting for my wall mounts for my monitors.

Issues: Monitor cords may prevent me from doing some stuff.

Things that I need to do: Paint walls. Get floor estimate and schedule new floor installation.

I need to do some more cleaning and discard my junk. I need to estimate what I need to store so that I can select how many pieces of furniture I need.

I am thinking maybe I will be finished around Sept 1.

OK, so things didn't start out too good.

I got sick, then I ended up with a kidney stone.

I am going to the doc today and find out whats what.

Sunday walked 7 miles. I hope to start back at the gym tomorrow.

Weight averages for the week

Let me start by saying that my foot did not bother me once last week. I didn't really mess up my diet really bad. I kept to my 1.5 hours per day.

174 + 173 + 170 + 169.6 + 169.5 + 170.6 + 170.6 = 1197.3 / 7 = 171.04

My goal this week is to come in avg < 170.

Sunday - 170.6 lbs

Rode 25 mi. So I finished up 7 days straight. I ate lunch out. Casa Garcia.

Saturday stats - 170.6 lbs

Not a good weekend for the diet.

I rode 25 miles @ 16.7 avg. Sweated like a pig.

Last night ate Pizza & ice cream at a bday party. I ate a rib po-boy for lunch. Who knows what the weight demons will say this morning.

Plan to ride this morning.

Ooops - I went to Ruth's Chris steakhouse and ate like a pig. I will see if it effects my weight.

Yesterday did the 1.5 hour routine at the gym

I was bad yesterday and went to snack machine 3 times. I did my 6 miles walking. I hope to replace the walking with cycling

Wednesday - 170 lbs

I did the same routine I did on Monday, except I walked .25 & jogged .75 which equals 2.25 mi. jogging. I felt no ill effects from the jogging.

Just got over sickness -174lbs

I was running 2 miles a day - two days on, one day off. My foot was getting sore.

Then sickness caught up with me. I have been sick for over a week.

I started yesterday. I walked six miles.

Today - back to the gym.

I will attempt walking, jogging, elliptical, rowing and end up with about 90 minutes.

My goal this week: workout everyday - Mon, Wed, & Fri at the gym.

My LT goal: Fit in my pant size from last year in two months.

My immediate goal: watch what I eat.

Actual gym: 30 spin, 30 ell, 3.5 mi walk/jog
