Hacking update

I continue to study computer networking. I am attempting to pick up on all of the subtle stuff that I missed while studying. I found a couple of useful websites. One shows exactly how to build a wireless audit computer. That is really what I am doing anyway. I want a laptop to break into my own system. I want to learn where the vulnerabilities are.

How will the hacking turn out?

While reading the web for info, I get both the feeling that it is very hard and very easy to hack a wireless connection. I get conflicting info on which OS to use. I am also kind of skeptical on the hardware also.

So far, I think that I can increase my success chances by: using a dedicated laptop (I have one), using linux (not yet installed on laptop), and using some proven wireless card (which I am not sure will work with my laptop.

While I continue my education, alot of the articles are dated by many years.

I will try and make frequent entries so that i can write about my successes and failures.

Sickness

I am much weaker. I have gotten sick twice this year. And I had a kidney stone. Anyway that caused me to skip all of my exercise last week.

This morning I am heading back to exercising. I am going to attempt to run.

Anyway, I have started to study networking again. I have started re-reading my textbook. The text has many subtleties. I am reading slowly and carefully. At the same time I am looking at internet articles. I want to see if I can crack my wireless network.

At this time I am looking at my existing hardware. I may need to buy a wireless card. I may need to install linux.

Not sure!

Oh! Last week I submitted the paperwork to close my corporation. I have started my taxes and closed all business accounts.

Chilling


I'm hanging out in this awesome office. I'm chilling to WTUL. I haven't streamed this station since Hurricane Katrina. Now I need to download a recorder. I am going to record alot of this station and load up my IPOD.

Work. I am learning. I declined a supervisor position this week. I have always focused on being as important as possible for job protection reasons. I am going to just chill. If I get shit canned, I get shit canned.

I am going to wash the car and go to the bank.

Back to where I was heading: I was independent when I was in school. I started working and fell back into the rat race. I need to focus on not caring.

Anyway, I am back to working out. I hope to be more independent. The weather is nice and I hope to really be able to chill.

Once again come full circle

Once again I learn that I cannot find happiness through others. I had figured this out before. I occasionally lose my way. Freedom and independence is what makes me happy. I have to focus and force myself to get more independent.

I find myself kind of lost this morning. I am at a fork in the road. This is brought on by a job rejection. Others choosing OR not choosing me. My employer choosing or not choosing me. Fake happiness.

I need to reinvent myself and find the peace.

Not getting the job has created some peace. I never really wanted to start a new job. I wanted more free time. I think that I really do want less responsibilities anyway.

Focus on my real goal: Staying employed for a few years!

Had a great time running my 10 miles




This is the first time I have run 10 miles in years. It feels great to test yourself. My results:

Mile 2: 9:05
Mile 3: 8:29
Mile 4: 9:01
Mile 5: 9:01
Mile 6: 8:38
Mile 7: 8:29
Mile 8: 8:38
Mile 9: 8:40
Mile 10: 8:04

For a total time of 1:27:19 = 8:44 avg pace.

Me one week ago


Yep that's me. I am switching gears today. I am doing a ten mile race along the lakefront of new orleans. It aught to be fun.

No goals other than to finish. It should be challenging. I have run 6 miles recently a bunch of times. I have done an occasional 8. This will be my first 10 miler since 2006. Happy IMHawaii anniversary.

SRI Tri - completed

I am looking for my on-line results and there are none so far. What? Well maybe they will show up this week. It is discouraging if the results are important to you.

Anyway. I am glad that I did the race. The race helped me get in shape. I swam pretty good. I sucked at the bike. I ran the three miles w/o stopping. I saw lots of nice bods. Me and wifie had a great time.

I walked 5 miles yesterday. I am either going to walk or run today.

The day before. My last race was two years ago. IMHawaii. This race is just fun. A workout. This is the bone. It will be my last tri?

I feel like shit right now. My head is pounding.

It will be fun to get away tonight. Visit the beach. Eat out. See something different.
